When you choose a wedding photographer, you aren’t just hiring someone for a day’s work, you are inviting them in to photograph one of the most emotional and personal occasions in your life. So you need to make sure this person is exactly who you want, someone you feel relaxed and comfortable with and ultimately someone that you can be yourself in front of, even when they are holding a camera. Yes, I can of course tell you that I am great guy and easy to get on with, but not until you meet me, will you know if I am the right person. However I will do my best to tell you a little about me, so if we do meet, you will know a bit of who I am.
My love of photography started when I was given my first camera as a kid, which I still own. But it was when I brought my first digital camera in 2001 ready for my European travels that my real passion for photography started. After studying for my degree in Commercial Photography at the Art Institute at Bournemouth, I honed and applied my creative skills on a range of photography, such as portraiture, fashion and documentary. But my wedding photography journey started when I asked by a friend to be their wedding photographer and it wasn’t until I was able to reflect on the day that I realised that I had accidentally fallen in love with wedding photography.
Since then I have gone all over the South of England, from Canterbury Cathedral to Caerphilly Castle, meeting so many wonderful people, photographing truly beautiful shots and having so much fun along the way, (and eating some rather splendid cake).
For me, wedding photography really is a dream job, l love photography and the ability it has to bring a smile to someone’s face and to be able to combine that with a day that is filled with so much love and happiness, is just a wonderful feeling. Being a wedding photographer, I am lucky enough to be involved in almost every extraordinary moment that a wedding has to offer, and I take so much enjoyment in being the person who has to photograph these once in a life time moments.
I live in Winnersh, between Reading and Wokingham, (once mentioned by David Brent in The Office), with my girlfriend and cat. I will cover weddings all over the South of England, and will quite happily travel further; my final cost may vary depending on the distance I need to travel.
